Wedding Welcome Guide
Welcome! I’m
so excited to hear
more about your big day.
In this guide, you’ll find information about my wedding process, as well as answers to some frequently asked questions. This is just a starting point, and I am always here to answer any additional questions you may have.
Let’s dive in!
Hi, there!
I’m Courtney.
I look forward to meeting with you and connecting further! In the meantime, please feel free to check out more about me by following the button below. I value my relationships with my clients and enjoy connecting on a personal level.
Photography style
earthy. emotive. artful.
It’s important to me that you look back on your wedding gallery and feel the feelings and emotions that you felt on your wedding day. Your life, your love, and your wedding are all unique to you and I believe your images should be, too. I enjoy utilizing various lighting scenarios and creative techniques to aid in the storytelling of your day.
I will be hand-editing each image that is delivered to you. Most images will be in color, and some will be in black & white (when I include a b&w version of an image, it will be delivered in color as well). Rich, earthy tones and true-to-life colors are important to me throughout the editing process. I will do my best to keep your images true to color while also drawing emotion through modest edits of contrast or color correcting.
While I have a rather consistent shooting and editing style, I do let the mood of the wedding and the individual moments throughout the day inspire my process.
Frequently Asked Questions
How will we receive our images?
All of your high-resolution digital images will be delivered online through a password-protected gallery, where you will be able to download or print your images. You will receive a personal USB containing your gallery, as well.
When should we expect to receive our gallery after our wedding?
Galleries may take up to 8-12 weeks for post-processing.
Will we be able to print our images?
Yes! Not only will you be receiving print release to your images, but you also will have access to a professional print shop within your online gallery. This makes it simple for you or your family members to hop on and quickly order quality prints in just a few clicks.
Can we request a list of specific shots we would like?
I’ll always take my clients’ requests into consideration, but I do let them know that I’m unable to promise any specific shot. I’ll do my best to my ability to make your vision happen.
Do you carry backup equipment?
Yes- always! I bring along a backup camera to each and every wedding, just in case. I also like to make sure my main camera has 2 memory card slots to ensure that I have backup files of your images.
How would you describe your working style? Do you prefer to blend into the background to capture candid moments, or do you like to be more visible and take charge of choreographing images?
I would say I have a good mix of both of these examples within my shooting process. Most of the time I like to blend into the background and allow your moments to take center stage. During formal family images or those similar, I like to kindly take charge to make sure we stick to the time schedule as closely as possible! However, I believe that you shouldn’t be spending too much time getting posed images on your wedding day. Your time is precious and it is my job to ensure that I’m capturing your intimate moments as they are organically occurring.
Do you have a specific process that you follow throughout a wedding day?
Yes. I like to sit down with my clients before their wedding day to plan a custom timeline. During this meeting, we discuss the timing of events throughout the day and figure out the best times for various photography opportunities. This helps keep all of us on the same page prior to your wedding day, as well as the day of. Also, I will have the timeline with me throughout the day to refer to and make sure we are on schedule, capturing the images we may have discussed, etc.
Do you have a refund or cancellation policy?
Nope, but the retainer that is paid at the time of booking is nonrefundable.
What do you think is the most important aspect of your role on the wedding day?
Aside from making sure each important moment is captured for my clients, I also think it’s important that I am able to be flexible by keeping up with the flow of the wedding day. Each and every wedding is so different and they deserve to be approached differently as well.
Next Steps
Pay the retainer and view/sign your contract
The retainer fee is the only nonrefundable portion of your wedding quote, and it comes right off your total cost. This serves as a holding place for your specific wedding date. A contract is an agreement between yourself & Ardor & Pixel. This serves to protect both of us throughout the entirety of the agreement and photography service period. If your retainer is paid and the contract is signed, congratulations! This means you’re fully booked and ready to plan your first consultation if you have not already.
Set up consultation
It’s important that we talk about the details of your wedding day! This is the preliminary consultation either before or after booking. We will have another consult closer to your wedding day to plan your timeline. Feel free to e-mail me directly at ardorpixelphotography@gmail.com, or fill out the form by clicking the button below to plan your consultation. I would love to meet in person over some coffee/tea, or we could chat on a zoom call. I’m here for whatever is best for you!
